Hi-Q is adding another win to their long list of achievements! They’ve recently been voted the no.1 tyre retail shop by township consumers in the Kasi Star Top Township Brands Survey 2016/17, in association with Ask Africa and the Daily Sun.
The purpose of the survey was to identify, from consumers’ perspectives, brands that are used most loyally by South Africa’s township residents, irrespective of living standard and background. These are brands that define a common experience, often on a daily basis, to which South Africa’s townships are committed. They are weaved into the fabric of our vibrant South African townships.
For Hi-Q to receive this award is of great significance, as is reflects their growing presence in township areas, as well as the high level of loyalty from their customers there.

The Daily Sun and Ask Afrika have partnered to bring us the Kasi Star Top Township Brands of 2016/2017 survey.
The survey is the largest of its kind in South Africa with 19 sectors, hundreds of product categories and thousands of brands included in the measurement.
The survey spectrum:
- A robust survey – 4 955 interviews, in townships across South Africa, representing approximately 10.1 million adult South African consumers
- 19 sectors, hundreds of product categories and thousands of brands
- An enumerated area sampling design was employed and the universe includes all communities with more than 8 000 inhabitants
