The Hi-Q Year-End awardscard® Promotion will run from 1 December until close of business on 31 December 2017 or while stock of awardscards® lasts. No awardscards® will be offered before the start date of the promotion.
The promotion is open to all South African citizens or permanent residents who are over 18 years, except directors, members, partners, employees of Hi-Q and its affiliates (the “Organiser”) and its advertising and/or promotion agencies, consultants and business partners, outlet owners, retailers and wholesalers that form part of the promotion and their immediate families.
Promotion requirements to receive an awardscard®:
To be eligible to receive an awardscard®, a customer must purchase a minimum of 2 or more Goodyear branded tyres, size 15” or larger, which must be purchased by way of a single transaction at a Hi-Q store, on or after the start date of the promotion.
Each customer shall receive one or more awardscards® (loaded with R200 each), per 2 tyres purchased, determined by inch size of the tyre purchased, based on the guide below:
- 2 x Goodyear branded tyres (15”, 16”, 17”) = R200 (1 card)
- 4 x Goodyear branded tyres (15”, 16”, 17”) = R400 (2 cards)
- 2 x Goodyear branded tyres (18” or larger) = R400 (2 cards)
- 4 x Goodyear branded tyres (18” or larger) = R800 (4 cards)
To be eligible for an awardscard®, the customer must purchase 2 or more Goodyear branded tyres, and have these fitted instore at the time of the purchase.
Fitting, balancing, alignment, valves and related services are excluded from the purchase.
The awardscards® are not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash at Hi-Q stores, either in whole or in part.
The awardscards® will not be offered to the customer for any wholesaling or interbranch transfers.
Hi-Q’s decision is final, in the event that any dispute arises with regard to the promotion, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promotion is conducted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa and should any of the promotional rules be deemed void or unenforceable, then that rule will be deemed to be deleted and the remaining rules will remain in force.
Hi-Q reserves the right to amend the promotion rules in their sole discretion should they consider this appropriate, before the promotion closes, and any such amendment(s) shall be posted on the Hi-Q website www.hiq.co.za
By taking part in this promotion, each customer acknowledges his/her understanding of and agrees to comply with each of the terms and conditions set out above and below.
The Organiser may require the customer to be identified, photographed and publish the photographs in print and/or social media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting the awardscards® or after having received the awardscards®. The customer will be given the opportunity to decline the publication of their images and to participate in the promotional marketing material in so far as it relates to the promotion.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, suspend or terminate this promotion, without notice at any time and no liability shall be against the Organiser in favour of any customer and/or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer hereby indemnifies the Organiser and agrees to hold the Organiser harmless against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or negligence and loss of any kind regardless of how it was caused, and whether it arose under the law or contract or delict or otherwise.
The customer acknowledges that the Organiser may collect personal information about them. The Organiser undertakes not to sell or share this information to or with third parties but may disclose the information if required by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organisers shall not be liable for any damage, loss, claim (including, without limitation, costs on an attorney and own client scale) or injury of whatsoever nature which may be caused to the customer by participation in this promotion.
Subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the customer accepts the awardscards® at his/her own risk and the Organiser will not be liable for any costs incurred by the customer in claiming their awardscards®. By taking part in the promotion, each customer acknowledges his/her understanding of and agrees to comply with the promotional rules set out above.
Rules for the use of the awardscard®:
To reduce the risk of fraudulent activity on the awardscard®, the awardscard® is sent to you in an inactive state and you are required to activate the awardscard® prior to use.
When you receive your awardscard®, and have activated it, sign it on the back in ink where indicated.
The Valid Dates are printed on the face of the awardscard®.
The awardscard® may be used to pay for goods and services at South African Card Merchants who accept MasterCard®. If a Card Merchant who displays the MasterCard® logo fails to accept the awardscard®, please call the Customer Service Line, 0860 11 6666, immediately to report this.
The awardscard® cannot be used for ATM or bank teller transactions, or to pay for goods or services over the telephone or Internet, or for Cash Back services at a Merchant’s cashier, or to pay toll-fees. For legal reasons and owing to the risk of fraud, your awardscard® may not be accepted at certain casinos. The awardscard® may not be used for online shopping via the Online Catalogue of Awards.
You will need to present the awardscard® at the time of payment to the Merchant.
If the awardscard® is no longer in use, it must be destroyed by cutting it up.
Any complaints regarding goods or services purchased at a Merchant must be addressed by you directly to the Merchant.
Achievement Awards Group (Pty) Ltd., Hi-Q Automotive (Pty) Ltd. and Goodyear South Africa (Pty) Ltd. are not responsible or liable to you for the quality, safety, or any other aspect of any goods or services purchased from any Merchant with the awardscard®.
You will not be charged any fees on any purchases made at selected Card Merchants using your awardscard®.
You will not earn interest for funds available on the awardscard®.
You agree to safeguard the awardscard® and treat it like cash. In the event that your awardscard® is damaged, lost or stolen, or used by someone other than you, immediately telephone the Customer Service Line (0860 11 6666). No refunds will be provided for amounts debited from the lost/stolen awardscard® in the period between the loss and the reporting thereof to us.
Certain Merchants will allow you to use the funds in your awardscard® account towards a portion of the full purchase price of the goods or services in conjunction with another form of payment (e.g. cash, credit card etc.) This arrangement is at the discretion of the Merchant. The Organiser will not be part of nor be held liable in any manner whatsoever in this arrangement between the Merchant and you.
In the unlikely event that the awardscard® service is unavailable, you may be unable to use the awardscard® or obtain information about the awardscard® balance. We will not be held liable for this occurrence. Should an outage cause a transaction to be declined after the amount has been deducted from your point bank account, the amount will automatically be refunded to you, which can take up to 7 working days.
In line with banking regulations, we may change the terms of, or add new terms to, these Terms and Conditions at any time, and without giving you notice, in accordance with applicable law.
